[00.38]- Vasil is from Belarus, and he moved silicon valley in the US in 2001

[01.38]- With his partners, he started “startup social,” an event where entrepreneurs share their challenges and connect with people who could solve them and grow

[02.04]– In 2015 they rebranded this event as “growth marketing conference.”

[02.21]– IN 2019 they expect their biggest event with around 1700 people

[03.53]– Growth Marketing conference is a global event, which will happen in December
– Weather is perfect in December in the US
– Many industry leaders will share their growth strategies for the next year

[04.25]- People from Dropbox, Moz, and many other big names in the digital marketing industry are expected to participate in this event

[05.25]– They have some inspirational keynotes, workshops, tactical presentations, and many other events and this year especially for Ecommerce and fintech growth

[06.30]– One of the biggest misconceptions about events like these is that they are all about content. According to Vasil, it is more about the energy of the event, people you meet and experience you take away from the event.

[07.53]- Vasil highly encourages people to invest n the events because they are going to play a prominent role as a marketing channel

[08.49]- Gerard believes in giving value to attendees of the event. Neil Patel and Eric Siu are his inspirations.

[09.43]– Eric Siu has built a great community from his podcasts, and he is also a great speaker

[10.28]- Eric Siu is one of the reasons that Gerard interviews a lot

[11.15]– Purpose of the event is to bring people together; people, who need each other

[12,52]- Most of their revenue is generated from highly uncertain ticket sales, but they try to compensate it with the relationships with event organizers
